I specialize in helping those who are on a journey of the soul. This could mean finding your identity again, coping from a loss or experiencing a major life transition. We all go through these periods but we need not go through them alone.
As a single mom of a toddler, I know how hard it can be to find time for a shower never mind rekindling one's passions and dreams! As sleep and free time become a distant memory it seems there just aren't enough hours in the day to attend to the needs of everyone and find time for ourselves. Maybe you feel you have lost your freedom, your balance and yourself in the parenting process. Doing it all alone can leave you depleted, exhausting and even resentful. Together through therapy we can work together to develop ways to care for yourself with limited time while reducing the impact of fatigue. It is possible to reclaim your sense of self and passions despite changing family dynamics.
A loss may include the death of a loved one or pet, a divorce/end of a relationship, the loss of one's health, or the diagnosis a terminal illness. When life suddenly changes, it is natural to feel as though you are spiraling out of control. I spent many years grieving the loss of my marriage and the major life changes that came with my divorce.
Going through a time of major loss it's important to tenderly care for yourself and know that everything you are experiencing is normal and ok. I spent many nights feeling as though I was going crazy during times of grief in my life. I want you to know that what ever arises for you is OK. This is your process! It's a time to experience it all and work with the emotions that are present. Through therapy we can navigate the intense emotions that arise when it feels as though life has been pulled out from under you.
